PHOTOSHOOT FAQ

You might have a few questions before booking your session.

Here’s a little guide to help you feel prepared, relaxed, and excited about your experience.

1. Location

Decide where you envision your shoot.

2. What time of day is best for my photoshoot?

I recommend early morning or just before sunset, what photographers call golden hour. The light is soft, warm, and flattering, and the world feels calm and peaceful.

3. What should I wear?

Comfort is everything. When you feel good, it shows in your photos , your energy, your expression, your confidence.

You’re welcome to send me outfit ideas or photos if you’d like a second opinion. I can guide you on colours, textures, and styles that complement the natural backdrop and vibe of your session.

4. What should I bring?

Just bring yourself, an open heart, and a relaxed mindset  this is your time to shine and have fun.

If you have personal props or meaningful items you’d like to include, feel free to let me know in advance. I love collaborating to bring your vision to life.

5. Do you help with Posing?

During your shoot, don’t hesitate to talk, move, and be yourself.  I want you to feel free to share your thoughts and ideas as we go along.  I’ll guide you gently with simple direction to help you find the most flattering light and angles. If something doesn’t look right, I’ll tell you, but mostly, I want you to feel free, comfortable, and real.

Sometimes I’ll show you a few images as we go to help you visualise the mood, but I prefer to keep the flow uninterrupted so the experience feels natural and connected.

Together, we’ll create something truly authentic.

6. what payment methods do you accept?

I accept stripe and cash payments for all bookings.

To secure your date, a 50% deposit is required at the time of your booking.  The final payment is due 48  hours before your photoshoot. For a wedding event the final payment is due no later than 2 weeks befog the day which can be made in cash or paid by card.

Once your payment is confirmed, you'll receive a booking confirmation email of your session.

6. Do you travel?

Yes! I'm based in London and Negril Jamaica. I'm happy to travel anywhere nationwide depending on the event or photoshoot location.

Travel fee's may apply depending on distance, but we'll go over all those details during booking to keep everything clear and easy.

5. How do I receive my photos

Once your images are edited, I’ll email you private login details to your online gallery. Only you (and anyone you choose to share it with) can view your photos.

A watermark will be applied to your images for protection during the selection process only if you have a package with a set number of images (Does not include weddings and events)

Inside your gallery, you can view, compare and choose all your favourite images.

Once you've chosen your final photos (based on your package and image amount), I'll send you new link to your gallery where you can download and share your high-resolution, watermark-free images.

The number of digital images included depends on your chosen package, but you’ll always have the option to purchase additional favourites.

6. How soon will I receive my images?

Editing is where the magic unfolds.

Depending on the session type turnaround time is typically 7-14 working days

Weddings or larger projects will take longer, anywhere from 3–8 weeks depending on size.

Please know that I never rush the creative process, your images are worth the time and love that go into them.

7. Will I receive all the photos,

including the unedited ones?

No. I carefully curate and edit the best images from your session,  removing any test shots or moments where you blinked or turned away, delivering only the polished, final versions that truly reflect the beauty and feeling of the moment.

Unedited (RAW) files are not included.

8. Do you photoshop clients?

I believe in natural beauty and authenticity. I’ll gently retouch things like small blemishes or temporary marks, some subtle skin smoothing on portraits can be done but I won’t alter your body or face. You are beautiful as you are. My goal is to capture that truthfully, through light and emotion. Editing tools are there to enhance the image, not to alter reality.

9. How would you describe your editing style?

My style is natural and true to life as much as possible, I love black and white images, I feel it shows honest emotion.

Each shoot is slightly different depending on the light, location, and mood, but I always stay true to authenticity and depth.

You’ve chosen LIGHT by Star because you connect with that signature look, intimate, and real.
